Composition

1 g of gel contains:

Active substance: choline salicylate 87 anhydrous, 1 mg, 0 Catalonia chloride, 1 mg,

Auxiliary substances: hydroxyethylcellulose, glycerin, methoxybenzoate, prophylaxisof, anise oil, ethanol, purified water.

Pharmacological action

Holisal – local anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, analgesic.

Pharmacodynamics

Choline salicylate has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effect. Inhibits the activity of Cox, function of macrophages and neutrophils, production of Il-1 and inhibits the synthesis of GHGs. He has also antimicrobial and antifungal activity (acid and alkaline).

Analgesic effects occur within 2-3 minutes and lasts for 2-8 hours

Catalonia chloride has an antiseptic effect on bacteria, fungi and viruses.

Holisal does not contain sugar, does not render local irritating action and well tolerated.

Pharmacokinetics

Choline salicylate is rapidly absorbed by the mucous membrane of the oral cavity.

Holisal, indications

Infectious and inflammatory, ulcerous-necrotic, trophic diseases of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity: stomatitis of different etiology, gingivitis, periodontitis, damage to the mucous membranes when wearing dentures, injury of the mucous membrane of the mouth, the pain of teething in children, glandular cheilitis, thrush, small surgery, lichen planus, erythema multiforme exudative (including Stevens-Jones) — in the complex therapy.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to salicylates and other components of the drug.

Method of application and doses

Locally, 2-3 times daily before meals (for the purpose of anesthesia) or after meals and at bedtime (unless otherwise directed). Gel in quantity 1 see for adults and 0.5 cm for children squeezed on a clean finger and rubbed in with light massaging movements on the affected area of the mucous membrane.

When periodontal disease: the gel is injected into the gingival pockets, are used in the form of compresses or rubbed gently into the gums 1-2 times per day.

Application of pregnancy and breastfeeding

Side effects

Allergic reactions, sometimes (in acute damage to the mucous membrane of the oral cavity) — short-term slight burning, passing on their own.

Drug interactions
