Composition

The main active ingredient: purified micronized fraction of flavonic acid 500 mg - consists of diosmin 450 mg, flavonoids, expressed in hesperidin, 50 mg.

Other ingredients: sodium carboxymethyl starch; microcrystalline cellulose; jelly; glycerol; hypromellose; sodium lauryl sulfate; yellow iron oxide E 172; red iron oxide E 172; titanium oxide; macrogol 6000; magnesium stearate; talc.

Release form

The drug is produced in tablets, packaged in packages of 60 pieces.

Daflon is a drug classified as a flavonoid whose ingredients are either a minor product or a secondary metabolite produced by various plants. At the level of effect, Daflon is characterized by phlebotonia, that is, stimulation of venous tone. In particular, its action mainly occurs at the venous level (in this sense it can be called venotonic), although it also has advantages in protecting small blood vessels. It also widely improves blood circulation and prevents aging, stiffness and brittleness through its previous effects.

Pharmacokinetics

The flavonoids contained in Daflon, taken by mouth, are metabolized by the intestinal flora and absorbed by the intestinal mucosa, only in this way are they then distributed through the bloodstream. They remain in circulation for about 12 hours and then are excreted in the faeces.

Indications for use

Daflon is a drug that has a vasoprotective and vasotonic effect. These properties have been useful in the treatment of various conditions associated with vascularization, among them the following indications:

Drug interactions
