INGARON&reg (Interferon Gamma) is a recombinant human interferon gamma, lyophilisate for intranasal and subcutaneous solution. The intranasal solution (nasal drops) blocks the attachment and invasion of the virus to respiratory mucosa cells improving their resistance to infection. The&nbspsubcutaneous solution is an efficient antiviral and immunomodulatory drug. Ingaron is both immunomodulatory and antiviral and showing high influenza and ARVI (SARS) prevention and treatment efficiency. In comparison with other drugs, Ingaron possesses a strong antiviral activity. It blocks virus replication and kills infected cells. Moreover, Ingaron starts working very quickly.

DESCRIPTION
According to the data from clinical studies conducted in the Outpatient Department of State Institution Research Institute of Influenza of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, in which patients with confirmed diagnosis of influenza and ARVI (SARS) took part, Ingaron showed high tolerability, safety and apparent efficiency &ndash twice less risk of complications and reduction of influenza and ARVI (SARS) manifestations:

• Fever by 1.7 times.
• Headache by 2 times.
• Cough by 1.7 times.
• Rhinitis by 1.6 times.

PACKAGING
INGARON comes in the form of solution for intranasal and subcutaneous use:

• 100000 IU/flacon, 1 facon per pack for intranasal use.
• 100000 IU/flacon, 5 facons per pack for subcutaneous use.
• 500000 IU/flacon, 5 facons per pack for subcutaneous use.

Active ingredient:
Interferon Gamma.

Excipients:
Mannitol.

DOSAGE
Intranasal:
The contents of the flacon are dissolved in 5 ml of water for injection.
At the first sign of influenza and SARS 2 drops in each nasal passage, 5 times a day for 5-7 days.
For the prevention of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza in contact with the patient and/or with hypothermia. 2-3 drops in each nasal passage every other day 30 minutes before breakfast for 10 days.
If necessary, preventive courses are repeated.
After application, it is recommended to gently massage the inside of the nose with your fingers for several minutes to evenly distribute the drug in the nasal cavity.

Subcutaneous (or intramuscular):
The contents of the flacon are dissolved in 2 ml of water for injection. The dose of Ingaron is set individually. Usually the average daily dose for adults is 500000 IU. It is administered once per day, daily or every other day. Course of treatment is 5-15 injections, if necessary, the course is extended or repeated after 10-14 days.

PRECAUTIONS
Common for both dosage forms: individual intolerance to interferon gamma pregnancy. Lyophilisate for solution for intramuscular and subcutaneous administration: autoimmune diseases diabetes. Lyophilisate for solution for intranasal administration: children's age (under 7 years).

SIDE EFFECTS
Subcutaneous and intramuscular administration: local soreness at the injection site in the form of mild pain (like overtrained muscle) and hyperemia. The use of doses of more than 1 million IU can be accompanied by the development of a flu-like syndrome: headache, weakness, fever, joint pain. Mild symptoms do not require pharmacological action. With severe symptoms - use paracetamol.

Solution for intranasal administration: none noted.

STORAGE
Store in dry place at room temperature. Do not exceed storage temperature higher than 20 degrees Celcius. Keep away from direct sunlight. Keep locked and away from children.
