POLYOXIDONIUM® (Polyoxidonyi) is an immunomodulator, detoxifier and antioxidant. It increases body's resistance to bacterial, virus and fungi infections. Polyoxidonium works by increasing the ability of lymphocytes to eradicate pathogenic microflora by stimulating the production of cytokines and antibodies, which activate the immune system. Polyoxidonium provides antioxidant effect due to the active inhibition of the lipid peroxidation processes. As a detoxifier, Polyoxidonium increases the excretion of toxins and heavy metals salts. Polyoxidonium is indicated to treat infections of bacterial, virus and fungi origin. It is used in surgery, therapy, urology, gynecology, and pediatrics.

DESCRIPTION

Polyoxidonium is an immunostimulant with immunomodulatory, detoxifying, antioxidant and membrane stabilizing activity. The mechanism of action is based on direct influence on phagocytic cells of peripheral blood and tissue macrophages stimulation of reduced cytokine production and increase of antibody production by b-lymphocytes. This provides faster elimination of pathogens. Polyoxidonium restores the immune system in secondary immunodeficiency, caused by infections, injuries, burns, malignant neoplasms, complications after surgery, the use of chemotherapeutic agents. PACKAGING & DOSAGE

Tablets:

Active substance: azoximer bromide 12mg

Excipients: mannitol, povidone, beta carotene - up to 18mg

Vial:

Active substance: azoximer bromide 3mg or 6mg

Excipients: mannitol, povidone, beta carotene - up to 4,5mg



Tablets:

For oral or sublingual administration 20-30 minutes before meals 1-3 times/day: the dose for adults is 12-24mg/day the dose for adolescent over 12yo is 12mg/day. The dose is administered individually.



Vial:

For parenteral or intranasal administration.

Intramuscular or intravenous injection for adults: the dose is 6-12mg/day in a day, or 1-2 times a week according to the patient's condition.

Intranasal infusion: 1-3 drops in each nostril with the intervals 2-3 hours (no less 3-4 time/ ay) during 5-10 days.

STORAGE
