Tardyferon (Ferric sulfate) retard 30 tablets

The composition and form of issue: 

Extended-release tablets, sugar coated shell 80 mg .1 tab. contains:

iron sulfate (II) polutorapolnye 256,3 mg

in terms of iron 80 mg

in blister 10 PCs. in cardboard box 3 blisters.

Pharmacological action:

Replenishes iron deficiency.

Indications:

Prevention and treatment of iron-deficiency States, pregnancy, lactation, malabsorption of iron from the digestive tract, prolonged bleeding, incomplete and unbalanced diet.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity state, accompanied by a high content of iron in the body: hemolytic anemia, thalassemia, hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis, impaired utilization of iron in hematopoiesis (aplastic anemia). Violation of absorption of iron (sideroahrestical anemia, lead anemia, pernicious anemia — vitamin B12 deficiency), children’s age (till 6 years).

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Shown in pregnancy and lactation.

Side effects:

Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, allergic reactions.

Drug interactions:

Not recommended simultaneous intake with antacids, tetracycline derivatives and effective in (reduce absorption), iron preparations (for parenteral administration) in order to avoid overdose.

The simultaneous administration of ascorbic acid has improved iron absorption.

Method of application and dose:

Inside (without chewing) with water before meals or during meals. For medicinal purposes: children over 6 years — 1 table. a day adults and children over 10 years — table 1-2. a day.

In the preventive purposes: for pregnant women — 1 table. per day or every other day for the last two trimesters of pregnancy (the 4th month).

The duration of intake

Adult patients should take the drug during the period that provides correction of anemia and replenishment of reserve iron in the body. Dose for women is 600 mg, 1200 mg.

Iron-deficiency anemia duration — 3 to 6 months, depending on the degree of depletion of iron reserve in case of need, in the absence of adequate control of anemia, you should increase the duration of drug intake.
