Voltaren (Diclofenac) 5 ampoules x 3ml (25mg/ml)

The composition and form of issue: 

Tablets, film-coated, soluble in the intestine, 1 tablet contains:

diclofenac sodium 25 or 50 mg

Tablets, film-coated, prolonged action, 1 tablet contains:

diclofenac sodium 100 mg

excipients: silica colloidal anhydrous, cetyl alcohol magnesium stearate povidone 30 sucrose hypromellose iron oxide red Polysorbate 80 talc titanium dioxide macrogol 8000 sucrose crystal ink for marking black 8015 

blistere in 10 PCs in the paper cartons 1, or 3 blisters.

Suppositories for rectal application, 1 supp. contains:

diclofenac sodium 25, 50 or 100 mg

auxiliary substances: solid fat 

in blistere 5 PCs the paper cartons 2 blister (for doses of 25 and 50 mg) or 1 (for dosage 100 mg) blisters.

Solution for intramuscular injection, 1 vial contains:

diclofenac (sodium salt) 75 mg

excipients: mannitol, sodium disulfit benzyl alcohol propylene glycol water for injection sodium hydroxide q.s. 

in ampoules of 3 ml in cartons of 5 ampoules.

Method of application and dose:

Inside.

Tablets, enteric coated, should be swallowed whole with liquid, preferably before meals.

Adults. The recommended initial dose of 100-150 mg/day. In relatively mild cases of the disease, as well as for long-term therapy is enough 75-100 mg/day. The daily dose should be divided into several stages.

If necessary, to influence night pain or morning stiffness in addition to the drug during the day prescribed the drug Voltaren in the form of a rectal suppository before going to sleep at the same total daily dose should not exceed 150 mg.

In primary dysmenorrhea the daily dose picked individually, usually it is 50-150 mg. the Initial dose should be 50-100 mg, if necessary for several menstrual cycles can be increased to 200 mg/day. The drug should be started at the first symptoms. Depending on the dynamics of clinical symptoms treatment can continue for several days.

Children weighing 25 kg or more is prescribed in the dose rate of 0, 5-2 mg/kg of body weight per day (in 2-3 doses, depending on the severity of the disease). For the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, the daily dose may be increased to maximum of 3 mg/kg (in divided doses).

To apply the tablets covered with kishechnorastvorima liner, 50 mg in children is not recommended.

Tablets prolonged action, film-coated, should be swallowed whole, preferably with food.

Rectal.

V/m, by deep injection into the gluteal muscle.

It should not be used injection of the drug Voltaren more than 2 days in a row. If necessary, the treatment can continue in the dosage form in the form of tablets or rectal suppositories.

When performing I/m injection in order to avoid damage to nerves or other tissues, it is recommended to observe the following rules. The drug should be injected deep I/m in upper outer quadrant of the gluteal region. The dose is usually 75 mg (contents of 1 ampoule) 1 time per day.

In severe cases (e.g. colic) as an exception, can be done 2 injection of 75 mg, with an interval of a few hours (the first injection should be performed in the opposite gluteal area). Alternatively, a single injection of the drug a day (75 mg) can be combined with other dosage forms of the drug Voltaren (tablets, rectal suppositories), the total daily dose should not exceed 150 mg.

During migraine attacks the best results are achieved if the injected drug Voltaren as soon as possible after the attack, in/m in a dose of 75 mg (1 amp.), subsequent application of suppositories at a dose of 100 mg on the same day if required. The total daily dose should not exceed 175 mg on the first day.
